I would tell them no thank you and walk. Most likely they got cold feet and are looking to back out. They know you won't go that low. In fact they are banking on it. Don't lose any sleep over it, I would fix any safety issues though.
Next time you have a prospective buyer give them less days than the max allowed days to do their due diligence. This way you're pressuring them to fish or cut bait.
