Does anyone have advice for a home seller who will be working with a Transaction Broker (FL) for the first time? One thing I'm wondering in particular is whether there are things, such as the seller's minimum acceptable price, that it would be better for the seller to keep to himself.

I would keep your minimum acceptable price to myself. Also, consider what your motivations are and if you would like the agent to share that as well.

Unless the agent is also your spouse, I think it's better to keep that type of information to yourself.

Thanks for your opinion re not revealing min. acceptable price. Helps to get others' thoughts on things like this.

Had not thought about motivations. In this case, keeping them private is a little difficult since there are contributing health problems that will be obvious, but they aren't so bad that moving is urgent. I think this advice can be very useful to others who read this thread in the future.

I appreciate your opinion re not revealing min. acceptable price. Spouse is not the agent - funny! Wish I could give you more reps.

We have listed with a Transaction Broker (not my choice but that's what we have in NM). He briefed us on what info he can and cannot share with prospective buyers. I read in "House Selling for Dummies" (I believe), that these brokers do NOT want to know your bottom line. I would not share my bottom line with anyone except my husband.
