Just an observation...as someone who is not a RE agent, I find it funny that you continually refer to this couple as "FSBO people" or "FSBO couple". I guess that's an important distinction in people if you are a RE agent. If i understand correctly, they were FSBO in a separate RE transaction before this agent friend was even licensed. A minor detail that is not even relevant to this situation. I guess "once a FSBO, always a FSBO". And I do understand that this was just the anonymous label to keep the parties straight in your story but I just find it an unusual choice, that's all.

I've seen lots a animosity in the same family of Agents/Brokers when a commercial agent that has never sold a single family residential home sold her own home... mind you she manages half a billion in commercial Real Estate covering several States.

Her sister is a very successful residential Broker with 25 years on the job and a nearby metro area...

Commision compensated people think different because it is different than someone salaried... each time a commissioned Real Estate Agent/Broker solicits a listing it is like applying for a job... and in a very competitive job market!!!
