The whole thing was professionally repainted and I don't think we can sink funds into redoing that I had wanted to do that tan similar to the 2nd photo above but was told it would make the room look smaller. Ugh.
I think any of these would be beautiful in that kitchen, and give it a huge face lift. (Will have to do in a few posts because I can't seem to attch more than 1 photo at a time in my iPad for some reason.)
I really like that red window treatment in particular there! Nice pop of color.
I disagree. People are having a hard time figuring out how that kitchen would work for them. That is a buyer visualization issue. The kitchen looks sterile, and t wouldn't be a place someone would want to hang out and cook. Buyers aren't going to say to the OP, "your kitchen lacks color and feels blah to me."
Make it cozy and charming, and the OP will find a buyer. I sell a lot of old homes, and my office was built in 1895. The kitchen needs to look cozy and welcoming and it will overcome the smallness.
I have to agree with this post, it does look a bit sterile, a bit too stripped down. Getting rid of clutter is good, but sometimes it can leave a house looking deserted.
It needs a pop or two of color, something to bring back the cozy country kitchen look.
I know your space is limited and you'll have to be selective to keep it cozy & not cluttered. We'd love to see what you do! Good luck!
Maybe some red & white gingham to soften the room, a pitcher of big yellow sunflowers. I like Pininterest for ideas.

Then someone did you a disservice on the color they painted the kitchen.

I agree with this. It's a farmhouse and the person who will buy it will be someone who appreciates the charm of an older home. The kitchen is too sparse. If the op ads in some farmhouse or cottage elements then the house will appeal to more buyers.
I am off to Home Goods to look for some stuff to spice it up! I'll report back if I find anything noteworthy.
