I would encourage you to insist that this matter be resolved before showings start up again.

In the meantime, pack up all your valuables and stash your medicine.

It is not unusual to have things disappear during showings. There have even been threads about real estate agents caught on camera taking clothes.

We had puffy comforters on our beds and countless times we came back after showings to find they'd been laid on. One time it was clear that someone had jumped on our beds. Now who the hell does that in anyone else's home?

We've had our computers turned on. Toys taken. Once had a teapot wander off during a showing.

Imagine your most clueless, intrusive relatives wandering through your home, fooling with and helping themselves to whatever strikes their fancy.

Prepare for that.

Do not depend on the showing agent keeping an eye on things. Their priority is the sale not the protection of your belongings.

I have seen on some of the hgtv shows where the potential buyers lay on a bed or, more often, get in the tub shoes and all. Disgusting. I have noticed people really take off from the hgtv shows so they may be following the immature disrespectful behavior as well.
