When I first became an agent I used to draw floorplans for my listings. I used a piece of software called Smart Draw (SmartDraw is the Smartest Way to Draw Anything). Now I hire someone to do it. It's pretty inexpensive and there are a number of services in my area to choose from.
Inkscape is a wonderful program, but it has a fairly steep learning curve. Home design programs would also work but also have steep learning curves.
I think the easiest thing for the OP might be carefully drawing the floor plan on a standard sheet of paper then photocopying it into a PDF. Quite a few multifunction printers have that feature built in these days. You can also get it done at most of the office supply stores for a nominal sum.

I used to use SmartDraw too until I went to a Mac a few years ago. I use floorplansonline.com now. I draw it on graph paper, scan it into them, and they make it look pretty.
We used Homestyler for our house (it's free). We had a rather primitive floor plan, and homestyler let us make very nice 2-D and 3-D drawings (with or without dimensions). I'm going to try to attach an example of a 3-D view.

No kidding. I thought I would give this one a try first as I thought it would be similar to AutoCAD but nope. I can't figure out how to draw a straight line.
