An Olympic-sized swimming pool, a 10-car garage and a central vacuum.

Umm....can you work that into an architectural feature?

I always thought an Antarctic room with penguins would be .... cool

AND way back before reality set in, I wanted a room with swings and hand-holds and foot-holds so me and the hubby could engage in any imaginable position perfectly balanced in mid-air.

I want to be your neighbor in a similar house, colonial is fine too. I hope you won't mind my barns

Hoping the prior owners left their 1930s stove and sink behind!

One of those tropical houses sort of set on poles above a sandy atoll would be a hoot. Or a big infinity edged pool right off the living room that's open to the beach/yard. But OhioGirl's got it, a housekeeper, cook, groundskeeper would be a nice addition.

A dungeon, and a secret room with a tunnel leading to a secret entrance in a cliff by the ocean.

And a jacuzzi.

And a gold mine in the back yard. Or some oil wells like my aunt. Poor gal, she was complaining about all the noise from the rig, drilling the fourth well in her backyard. Life is tough.

Count me as another who wants a totally intact and original old house, with all of the old house bells and whistles. Make mine from the first quarter of the 20th century.

I don't mind if the HVAC, and electrical have been updated, (and plumbing, if it was needed) and I don't even mind if appliances are newer. I can find vintage ones at my own convenience.

I would like to have a second/utility stair. My current old house has one beautiful grand staircase, and it sometimes feels a little weird carrying down dirty laundry, or coming downstairs on a Saturday morning in my PJs. These stairs feel like they were designed to have men and women coming down them in their suits and evening dresses.

Another feature I might like in my next old house is a nice inglenook, where I could spend some cold winter evenings watching the fire.
