This drop would reflect the drop in prices between the Jan 1, 2007 and Dec 31, 2007.

Just being reflected in the tax bills at the end of 2008.

That article was for one county in Florida. In my local paper it says we (the county I live in) went up and will stay up.

So the market is better where you live than where I live. Although for me as a buyer it is a good market, not for the sellers.

Yep- this is market specific for sure. Article in paper today, most of our stable, city neighborhoods went up anywhere from 4-20%. Our taxes increased 16%. while I'm glad we have stayed stable I'm not looking forward to paying more!
