I am not Catholic, but with my Native American roots, I figured I have enough in me to believe in the unexplained.
Good luck!

Dismissing the psychological effect of a superstition while bloviating hyperbole....

I sold FSBO with a Saint Joseph planted in the yard. Contract within 5 days. Closed within a week of scheduled closing date. Proceeds from sale were well above our goal. I didn't spend hundreds of hours doing anything to sell the house.

Do I think a small statue buried in my yard sold the house? It was comforting to my wife--which is worth more to me than the answer to the question.

Bloviating hyperbole.....then followed by the smack emoticon.....high five brother, high five indeed.

I ordered one when we were trying to sell my parent's house. I figured it couldn't hurt. No clue if it actually helped or not. I always wondered what the new owners would think if they dug it up one day when they were gardening.

I told my neighbor about St Joseph as her house has been for sale 8 months. Not sure if she has tried it.

If you don't believe it will work, then don't participate

I have to comment, though, that you are the very first person I've ever encountered that thought St Joseph is capable of preventing war, curing cancer, or ending hunger. Although I suppose no one has ever asked him for those things, so maybe he can but it is just that no one has ever asked.

Yes, the statue of Liberty.

Upside down is nice, but you have to remember to have the statue facing magnetic north. Here's the link you can use https://maps.ngdc.noaa.gov/viewers/h...l_declination/

We planted St Joseph in the front yard, but it still took 3 years to sell our house. Maybe it would have taken longer without him?

I know someone who swears by the statue maneuver. She's moved a number of times and says it always works, no matter what the real-estate market is doing.
