I had the same situation as the builder had submitted the base model square footage to the town and there was an option of a finished FROG (over the garage) which added 400sq ft living space which I ordered. When I sold I had copies of the builder's spec sheets and I showed them to the buyer when questionned. I do not know if anyone notified the town of the change.
