Since she is a female agent, I'm guessing that is her way of sizing you up safety wise. She is probably trying to determine if you are a creepy guy which you can't always tell over the phone. Body language is really important in sizing people up.

Yes, I am. That’s also a good point. But she made it clear that she won’t agree to represent anyone without a face to face meet first. That tells me there’s some integrity there instead of someone who just wants a quick commission.

I'd think that agent probably runs a good business and recognizes the value of her time. She is in demand enough that she isn't forced to work with people she doesn't want to.
