Hi Guys,

For those out there who've purchased a Coop in NYC before (Queens especially), what was your estimated closing costs for EVERYTHING?

I just calculated mine and it came close to ~$6,500

1. Bank fees (Citibank): ~$3,500 for everything
2. Attorney Fee: $1,000
3. Coop Questionnaire: $250
4. Coop Fees: $1,625 ($400 will be returned after settling in)

total = $6,375
With copy fees and other minor stuff, it probably totals up to $6,500.

Does this sound about right or do you think I'm overpaying?

Thanks!

May I assume that the purchase is below $1m? If so, what you calculated is more or less the same as what this closing cost calculator generated: https://www.hauseit.com/closing-cost...for-buyer-nyc/

Your estimate is a bit lower since you are only paying $1k for an attorney. Did you already go through with the deal? I'm curious if you had a good experience with the lawyer if the fee was only $1k. My attorney charged me $2,500.
