Nah. Remotely is not a problem, it's the reality of everything.

Last house I bought the agent kept expecting me to be able to meet him at the house with hardly any notice. I kept having to explain that I travel constantly and actually right now I'm at least 18 hours away from the house. No. Figure out how we can resolve this remotely. It's not the good old days anymore. i'm not going to invest 36 hours of travel to and from just so I can sit there and initial pages of a contract. And if I need something explained to me (unlikely), then you can do that via conference call with shared screen if necessary.

There is just a whole lot that doesn't make sense in this post. I believe the person in the other thread is right. The one that said you have never bought a house. He hit it on the head there.

The joys of modern technology make this completely possible. I just executed a contract with a client who is in Phoenix. It's not a problem and it does not matter if they are in Phoenix, China or across town.

You lose something when the client is not sitting across the table with you so you can take the time to discuss the contract face to face and read the clients emotions and expressions.

Only an agent would understand what I'm talking about. You don't qualify.

I do from time to time depending on the client and the situation. I don't work with many buyers personally anymore though.

I make my new agents write practice contracts by hand to make sure they know the forms well. Templates take some of the challenge out of actually learning the contract.
