That happened to my parents every time they sold a property. They would price it high figuring that would give them time to find another place and it would sell immediately. Happened every time and they sold five properties that I remember.

Congratulations, OP!

We had a mobile home that we put up for sale, spent weeks getting ready to sell, then it sold to a neighbor who did not even look inside the day after it was listed. That was a shock.
Congrats on your sale hope it all goes smoothly for you.

That's how we'd always like for it to go! I hope the rest of the transaction goes just as smoothly!

Congratulations! I am a natural born worrier, so I was so stressed out when we put our house on the market. It was under contract the next day. I worried non stop until after the closing. Ha ha ha

Congrats! Our house has been on the market almost 30 days. We've had about 16 showings but no offers yet.

Well update. The buyers weren't even qualified. (Can I slap their agent for that?)
His father decided not to give them the money he promised sooo.... Still showing. Open house last weekend with 3 couples looking. Ugh.
And here I am in CA making that CT mortgage payment. At least the guy - who still lives there has agreed to start paying half.
