1) All on one level
2) Amazing open floor plan with a massive open kitchen and vaulted ceilings
3)Master Bath (I've never had one before)
4) On a Cul de sac
5) Mountain views in every direction
6) aesthetically the house has a lot of character to the region where we live
7) Pool
There are some cosmetic changes we want to make to both bathrooms (re-tiling the showers and changing the hardware and stain on the vanities) but otherwise it's perfect
i love the fact it's one level. love the location and the bonus room and large deck we had installed.
wish we had a separate laundry room. laundry is all over the hallway b/c that's where washer/dryer is.
We moved into our new home a little over three years ago. There are two things I really appreciate. One is the little nook by the front door. It has a bench I can sit on and hooks for coats currently being worn. I use it every day. The other is the separate walk-in closets in the master. Mine is small...only six by six, but it's all mine and it has plenty of room for all my clothing. It also has shelving, so we didn't even need to buy dressers. My wife's closet is much bigger, and it also has built in shelving.
I'm not crazy about my home. But my major favorite thing in my home is a walk in front closet. I live in Minnesota so cold weather coats, boots, scarfs, mittens all have ample room. I've installed bins on one wall to hold all the scarfs, mittens ,hats, everyone has their own. Trays for wet snow/slushy boots. And room for storing winter gear away in large storage bins in warmer weather.
That sounds incredible.
Lived in Minnesota for years. Would have loved a walk-in coat closet for all the boots, coats, gloves, scarfs, ...
I love that I finally have a mud room. The savages I live with now have a dedicated place to doff their jackets and boots before setting foot in the house.
My last two home purchases were new builds as I want what I want, the way I want it , and when I want it. Do not foresee moving but if I did, I want new.

I do not have one but I can relate. It rains a lot here. I tracked water in and I wish I had a mud room.!
