My father purchased a home in the Pacific Northeast and it turned out someone was murdered there replete with bullet holes and blood on the walls. Of course it had nothing to do with whether he bought it or not. This was a fairly obvious case. Is that something that must be disclosed or not?

It depends on the state. Different states, different rules.

If someone dies in a property here for any reason it must be disclosed for 3 years

The OP didn't identify which state, so we can only speculate.

Where’s the Pacific Northeast? Seems like an oxymoron

I would have to guess either Idaho, Oregon or Washington.

not required in tx, but if the buyer can prove that you didn't disclose because you thought they wouldn't buy, they can sue you under DCTPA.

Depends on state. Its called Stigmatized property.

I don't think they are required in NJ. There is a home nearby that had a murder occur and was very well covered by the media. I hear the house was bought for next to nothing and completely renovated to make the house look totally different inside and out.. brand new.
