I am told the appraisal report was completed ( the actual report not the day they came out) Monday and sent to the lender Monday. Today is Thursday and the lender says that they still have not received it. My realtor said that it usually goes to several other hands before the lender actually reviews it.
My question is how long does it usually take before hearing back once report is complete?

Once it is sent to the lender it goes into their internal review process. Most lenders in my area have appraisals in review for 24-48 hours. VA can take a bit longer sometimes.

So if the lender hasn't received it, then it is still at the AMC and in their internal review process.

Once the appraiser sends the completed report, it can spend anywhere from 2 minutes to 2 days at the AMC. Then it goes to underwriting for review. If the underwriter has any questions, it can be sent back to the appraiser. It can take several days, depending on what the underwriter wants and how many times it is sent back.
