New Real Estate agent here.

I am wanting to rent apartments ONLY. No sales. At least not yet until I learn more.
Donít want to work in Boston, or too close to it. (Hello, stress!!)
Where else in MA outside of the Boston area are there a lot of apartment rentals?
Obviously, as I will be looking for an agency to work at, this would exclude areas with mostly those large new buildings who rent out their own apartments.
I know my state pretty well, but not the whole state. Any ideas where I could earn a decent living at this outside of Boston?

Most of the rental units outside of Boston and the immediate areas are large executive style apartment buildings owned by large companies like Avalon who have their own onsite staff.

The more dense the area, the more rentals there will be. Maybe try Worcester? Where do you live now?

Iím in Boston. (stress!!!)
Yes Worcester might be decent.
I also wondered about Woburn (seems popular as of late but might have the big buildings we are speaking of), or even Newburyport or somewhere a little nicer and more peaceful.
It may be difficult to find peace and a high rental area. Maybe newton to Framingham area?

Most of those areas are too thinly populated and have too few rentals to ever make a living as a rental agent. You need to be somewhere more densely populated.

If you live in Boston already why don't you want to work in Boston?
