Default First time buyers commuting dilemma - need help!!

hi everyone - my boyfriend and i are looking to buy this Fall -I currently have a great job located in South Philadelphia that i drive to now - I live in Princeton so the commute isnt too bad, straight down 95. he is currently working in princeton but looking for a new position possibly up in north jersey near Morristown - I'm not familiar with the areas up there and am in desperate need of help! What is a good halfway point for both of us so we dont have any more then a 50 mile commute each?? we are looking to spend up to $275,000 max - any advice is greatly appreciated!!!
