Just got off the phone with our agent. Apparently our buyer's agent has been trying to get a hold of the buyer all day with no luck. The buyer seemed so uncertain to begin with that this is just the icing on the cake. I think both agents are giving up on the buyer. I am so disappointed bc while the price was quite a bit lower than I hoped, the closing date and everything was perfect in terms of timing. Just sucks...
why do these things always seem to happen?!!!! its so tough on the emotions.
keep the faith...
thanks though this shoe-loving mama is taking a break for a while. I learned today that running after a two year old in a parking lot while wearing three inch heels does unpleasant things to my ankles. Sarah Jessica Parker, I am most certainly not.
lmao!!!! you are too funny, two year olds will def keep you running your heels off.

Roselvr-so sorry to hear about your painful family past. Seems like the older I get I find out all families have "something". Be secure in your Dad's love and try to remember the good times. It's been 24 years since my mom has been gone, and 4 years since my dad passed. The pain still slices my heart and can bring me to tears in an instant. I know they are together in heaven and are jumping for joy that I am moving to be closer to my sister. Sending hugs your way...............
sykesfamily-Here's to hoping you get LOTS of showings this weekend! (sprinkle, sprinkle, sprinkle)
Niki-good thoughts coming your way for an offer soon!
I've been up since 3 am wondering if I'm forgetting anything, ugh! This is the first time I've had movers pack us too. They do it all. All we're taking with us is the dog, important papers, medication, a change of clothes, and some small family heirlooms. Our first night will be in a hotel and our furniture will arrive the following day. The guys at hubby's work are putting on a lunch for him today, very sweet. He's been with them for 14 years. This next week we have several "farewell" lunches and dinners. Dogmom, I'm like you, hate to go through that but I know I have to and it is so very sweet that people want to make our send off special but it chokes me up. Emotional week, I feel so torn...........
Congratulations to those whose homes have sold. I'm happy for y'all.
Our house has been on the market for a little over 8 months. I've been patient until about a few weeks ago. lol But it'll sell when it's meant to.
We've had very few showings and have lowered our price four times. (It's now over $10,000 less than where it was when we first put it on the market.) After this last price-lowering, internet interest nearly doubled and then this past Tuesday we had two showings. Wow. The last time someone looked at our house was in June.
Anyway, I got an email from our realtor telling me that one of the families that looked at our house really likes it and may come look at it again in a few days.
I'm trying not to get too excited or to get my hopes up, but it's hard. We were wanting our house to sell and to move into a new one (new to us anyway), whichever one it will be (there are several we like), before school starts. But that's not going to happen even if we get an offer this week. I'll take it when I can get it though. lol
I cannot tell y'all how nervous I am. I'm praying even harder, now that there's finally a possibility that someone could buy our house soon.
One of the two showings we had was between 7:00 and 8:00 PM. Kind of late for a showing, but at this point I don't mind. If someone feels like they need to look at a house at that hour, they must really need to find a place fast. They may have been the ones who are considering buying our house.
I'm trying to remain calm. The couple who looked at our house in June seemed really interested also (the husband loved our kitchen), but I think they couldn't get the financing or something.
Anyway, I'm sorry for rambling on. I tend to do that when I'm nervous. If y'all could help me pray, I'd appreciate it.
this sounds just like me.. reads like my own words.. lol. we are in the exact same boat.. just praying for a showing with an offer. were at 4 showings now since april 1.
good luck to you..........
Morning all-so much good luck dust being sent your way.
This pending offer will be looked at very carefully-our realtor is excellent.
Painter-We're in the county seat of one of the fastest growing towns, pop. 14,000 but in summer more like 40,000. Four mi. from town, lots of shopping, restaurants, lakes.

Hi Niki, nice to meet you..HANG IN THERE..we were on the market 10 long months..I am going to write a book when things calm down..all it takes is that one buyer...it's just getting to that buyer that makes us crazy! But it will happen, and you are right, when it's the right time..things happen for a reason. I will tell you this, if my house had sold right off, I would never have my city data friends...and for that I am thankful.
Try to stay calm, try to stay busy and keep your mind active..and I am sending all the mojo, pixie dust and crossed fingers and toes, and prayers your way for the right people to see and buy your home!
Barb
good luck comin' at ya Roma. Too bad those selling in one place and going to another can't just swap houses....
