Take responsibility for yourself. If you signed it and didn't know what it was, and didn't read it first, it's YOUR FAULT. One simple phrase the FIRST TIME you walked in to look at the home would have sufficed: "Does this home have an HOA?"
If you didn't do that, I don't feel sorry for you one bit.
Yes`Yes it's my fault SuSu...does that make you feel better now?
I kn ew there was a HOA, but did get the manual until a week
later after i moved in and then boom i threw that manual right into
the fire place.
No thanks.
yeah, I bet they all love your dog. Thats what alot of dog owners
seem to think.
I see you not a dog lover.
Your probably the one who leave their dog in the yard and never exercises
them.
My dog is part of the family and goes everywhere i go.
Actually love my dog more than my wife.
Wow, i think i am done here with topic.
I many are interested and like to see this thread keep going.
Anyways enjoyed everyone's feedback and happy
reading and posting on DCF.
Why are realtor's so defensive, that is why they are disliked?
I never had to pay the fine, as I also caught the director of the HOA
who lives in the same community with his dog offleash in their front yard.
Many people break rules everyday..
How am I defensive for pointing out that you said everyone liked your dog but you got a $200 fine for him running loose? That showed me that not everyone liked your dog.
You seem like the defensive one.
Edit: And just like everyone else that does it, you look foolish when you say "Why are Realtors...?"
It would be like me saying, "All people that let their dogs run loose must not have any respect for their neighbors", no, wait, that would be a true statement so nevermind.

Nuff said realtor, let it go.......................
My goodness, OK you can have the last word
to make yourself look and feel like the better
person.

We dont own a dog or any animals for that matter. I feel sorry
for your wife.
I own two dogs, 7 cats, 3 horses, two donkeys, and 4 cows. And I agree that if you've been fined $200, it only stands to reason that SOMEONE doesn't like your dog (or something it's doing) for SOME reason.
I don't live in or want to buy in a HOA communitiy but that is just me. There is something for everyone in this country.
I am with you texdav...i rather have 10 acres out in the country with 4-5 dogs, but my wife loves close tight knit communities with street lights, great neighborhoods, and around great schools.
The wife always wins or endless arguments.
With that in mind, I think I'll have a double scotch on the rocks.
Even if I live in a strict HOA community I still go by the rules 99%
of the time. I never had to pay the fine, since the director of the HOA
also had his dog offleash. So basically it's not permitted, but 50%
of the community have their dogs offleash.
Our HOA does nothing for our community. They collect dues and spend the money on parties on the street where the officers live. Little &%@!!!
