I got an email from our realtor today. She said we haven't had any online hits in awhile. She's doing another featured listing promotion of it this week. Our contract expires at the end of the month and she wants to just let it expire and re-list on February 1st.
I'm not sure. I still have to talk to my husband. He's in Wilmington on business. It's funny. I was just thinking today about lowering our price again. :-\

First question. Do you really want to take your home off the market and miss a possible sale?
Second question. Did you tell her you were thinking of lowering your price?
This is just my opinion so it may not mean anything but I would not be to pleased with a Realtor who wanted me to take my property off the market if I wanted to sell it. IF YOU were the one who wanted to take it off the market that is one thing, but I don't get her wanting you to do it. If you didn't tell her you were thinking of lowering your price and you want to do that, then I would tell her you want to lower your price, keep it listed and get it SOLD! If she doesn't want you to keep it on the market and you do I would look for a different Realtor! You can't sell your home if it isn't on the market.
Again this is my opinion so you may want to take it with a grain of salt!

Feeling fine other than minor scratch/itchy and abit dozey!
Niki, Some areas if you take it off the listing for 30 days it shows up as a new listing but an agent can look at the history and it tells them well they took it off just for this purpose. I had this same conversation and we decided it wouldn't really do any good. If some fence sitter is watching it and they come back later they too will say oh they pulled it and put it back. It really is just a game.
Lower prices are attracting more hits but if no one is looking what good does it do.
We have a surplus of 18 mon. of houses here and the average days on the market is 156 days but that is made up mostly of house ave list of 173k. This is the average sales price now a drop of 20k since Aug! I know I put up to much data too, sorry.

Hope you are feeling better!! You can also try a paste of baking soda and water. Something my Dad used to do is wet a Rolaids and put it on insect bites. Really helped with the itching.
Went out today after the guys came to measure for my laundry room countertop. Other than some really agressive drivers, my faith in the niceness of most Carolinians was renewed. When I was coming home I saw three older women appear to be having problems, so I stopped to see if I could help. Ended up that the one has dementia and temporarily loses her ability to walk every now and then. But I met more neighbors. I stopped at World Market and got a bunch of different scone mixes, so I think I'll play "Better Crocker" and maybe make some up and share with my neighbors.

hammy..........I read that thread, too, and just ignored it. The media are the ones that are dragging this whole thing out. If they would just shut up and quit telling the buyers that prices are going to keep going down, or that ALL sellers are trying to rip everybody off by pricing their houses too high, maybe people would get off their duffs and actually start buying. A lot of buyers are just a bunch of sheeple that need someone else tell them what to do and when to do it. If the media would report that NOW is the time to buy houses, we would see lots of sales all of a sudden.
I'm rather miffed at a thread on the Charlotte site with basically a bunch of Carolina natives called all us northerners moving south "carpetbaggers" and that we just want to move here and take over everything. Started out as a slam to NY'ers, but ending up slamming all "Yankees" moving here. Believe me, I didn't move here for economic reasons, almost everything is higher here for us, but I moved here because I really loved it here and want to make this my home. I have NO desire to turn it into PA!!! I was going to post to the thread, but I was so PO'ed reading it that I just couldn't do it without calling most of them a word that would get bleeped out. I have run into a few southerners that were very nice until they heard my PA accent and then they turned ice cold. I just dismissed them without lumping them into ALL southerners.
I got a phone call yesterday telling me that I got a space in a craft show that I wanted to get into. So hopefully by 12/6 people will be ready to spend a bit of cash at my booth!

RoThbrar we get the same thing in NC. Like someone said on another board said if you are not Kin you are not in.
If you say anything on the boards like we had that supermarket there. They just come out and say well go back.
Where is the southern hospitality. We hang out with ot of staters like us.
