how to rebuilt a Single Family / Twin-Multi house?
in a case of a single family house, we can always rebuilt the house if we want to. but in the case of a Single Family / Twin-Multi house where you are attached to another family next door, even though there's no HOA, if I need to rebuild my house, will that still be possible? will I need permission from the next door home owner and need to do this together? this is my concern about this type of house, although these types of homes are a bit cheaper than a single family house...thanks for helping out.

what do you mean by rebuild??? Do you mean remodel the inside, or completely re-do/change the looks of the outside??

I believe we probably could do the inside, my question was more for the outside or even knock down the old structure and rebuild from scratch. thanks.

Hmmmm. I am not a builder by any means, but I don't think you can knock down half a twin home and start from scratch. IMO it just wouldn't be a feasible or economical thing to do. I imagine they share a roof and foundation, and walls. You might could make changes on the outside but it might look kind of odd for one half to be very different to the other.
Why not just buy a lot and build fresh or a single family home to remodel?

because it's normally cheaper to get the twin home at the same nice location..the remodel is just in case the house gets too old down the road, it's not a mission if I get one today. *smile*
