Default Bank of America No Fee Mortgage

Hello,

Has anyone had any experience w/ this mortgage?

The good, bad, ugly?

My bank is Bank of America; I'm told it's good to try to get a mortgage w/ your personal bank.

And this offer sounds appealing.

Thanks.

I would read this recent thread:

Bank of America - No Fee mortgage?

Personally I started off with a good experience with them that turned bad when I was ready for the loan. (And I met all of their qualifications, down payment ready, extremely high FICO, etc.). That is detailed in the thread.

I checked into their program (they're also our bank) when we purchased our home last month, but their rates were much higher than everyone else's. I guess where you save on the closing costs, pmi, they're going to charge you more to carry the loan. They will make the money back somehow...

We opted to use our credit union for our loan.

Our home loan is thru BoA, and we got the no-fee loan when we closed last year. it was a good deal then. Don't know about now.
