What's the easiest way to find out about cancer clusters in a neighborhood or town that you're considering moving to?

I'm interested in properties in NJ and Long Island, NY--both of which have high cancer rates. But I don't know which towns in particular are most affected.

I don't know whether this thread should go under "Real Estate" or "Health." I'd appreciate it if the mod would put it in the right place.

MrRational,
I googled it but couldn't find what I was looking for. I want to find a website where I can put in, for example, "Mendham, NJ" and find out the cancer rate & the types of cancers, or whether there's a documented cancer cluster there.

So far I'm just getting general information for states, not for specific towns.

Any ideas?

Try Superfunds. If you find one in a state, you'll easily find the paper trail to sickness in the town as well.

Are you hoping to distinguish between clusters due to random statistical fluctuations and those with an actual cause? And if so, how?

This seems like an odd line of questioning to me.

Do you think that maybe you're being a little over cautious here?
