congrats...cool cats. That will be a relief to just get it done. We closed on our home in Utah last Thursday.....it was no easy task. I was so glad when the loan finally went through. We didn't even know when we flew there if we were going to actually close that week...luckily we did.
Hi, it's been a while since I last posted. I closed on Feb. 28, 2009. This was a bank own sold as is so there were a lot of stuff to do, like new carpets, paint etc. It was a good experience eventhough it was stressful at times. I am happy that I'm a homeowner now.
Congradulations! Make sure and have the repairs reinspected by your inspector with plenty of time before closing.. Make sure your agents leaves enough room in the time line for this to be done. This way if some of the repairs were not done correctly,(as is often the case) there will be anough time to have them done before closing.
Got the appraisal done -- the house came in at $20k above our contract price.
The inspection is done. The sellers signed the agreement to make the necessary repairs.
After a few false starts, I think this offer will go through in three weeks. I'm excited.
Congrats!
