Actually FA the transaction brokerage of FL is far more devious. Yet does not seem to catch the heat.

Dual has little justification except it is good for some RE Agents. And it is somewhat related to the ancient forms of RE Agency.

Note that there is one interesting variant on dual. That is when the commission is also dual. If the agent takes both sides he cuts the commission to 4 or 4.5%. Now of course there is an advantage to at least one and probably both of the clients.

I don't care for it and unload duals to a another agent. And actually the buyer gets a far better agent than they would ever have been able to pick.

Not in my state .... they DO NOT cut their commission, they KEEP ALL OF IT!!!

hey, you better not speak out too much, the RE agent here are delusional and they are going to think you are me.
