Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum so bear with me if this is placed in the wrong area! We are moving to Fairfield CA and I'm looking at a house online. I would like to find the floor plan of the house.
It's in Rancho Solano, Centex is the builder in 1999. It's two story and 3,600 sq. ft.
Any help would be great!
centex builds production, slap it together, shortcuts houses. the foundations crack, patios and slabs crack, floor tile is installed incorrectly and breaks, roofs leak, basically its shoddy construction. I should know, I used to build homes back when people took pride in their work. centex homes are crap. as long as you know that going in, you might want to get am inspector or set aside money for the inevitable. like all production slap it together home builders, some area or community superintendents are awake and pay attention where others are ignorant of what is going on and could care less. so that being said, we can "assume" that not all centex homes are slipshod, but many I've seen are. so beware and be forwarned.
He's been asleep and doesn't realize Centex went out of business about 4-5 years ago.
Centex was acquired by Pulte in 2009, but I understand that Pulte still uses the Centex name in some states--Michigan not being one of them. Pulte was based in Michigan and I never understood why they chose to take on Centex which, shall we say, had a less than stellar reputation.
Both names are still used in Austin and other Texas cities. Personally, I think they got a bad name from their Fox & Jacobs box builds, but Centex has been working on their quality for along time and they build a fairly decent home for their price points.
