Come to Gary, Indiana ... I'll could probably get you an entire block of homes for $10K-$15K.

Would that work for you?

Phoenix has the lowest priced homes of value. You could do very well in Florida right now, also.

Not sure what good a property does you, even for free, if its in a city where people are moving away.

I am thinking of the long term.

My daughter is only three years old and I do believe that the financial and property markets will be very different and better in twenty years time.

So anyone with links to sites selling low cost property or any real estate agents please post links here.

Thank You, John.

The link I posted for Gary properties was done very tounge in cheek.

There are very VERY many places in this country where you can find homes for the price of a used Yugo ... just because a place is extremely affordable doesn't make it a good investment.

You want to be a real estate investor? Go local and try and find an investment club/group in your area.

I agree..places like Gary In or Detroit are NOT going to turn around in 20 years. When cities get that bad it's usually a few generations before they even think about getrification.

If you just wantes a vacation home with no real thoughts about making a bundle SW Florida may fit the bill
