congratz on sealing the deal...How did you negotiate 0 closing costs? Was the original home purchase price at 300 already or did they drop that as well....Just wondering. I am currently stuck in escrow which has been close to 2 months now and the closing cost are getting higher the longer this is drawn out.

I got a "special" mortgage from the lender.. zero closing costs was based on the seller paying for it all and they did plus first month's mortgage... the 300k is the price on the foreclosure (I should of said it was negotiated down to that price), it was worth way more than that... I just called the bank president and got a "special" mortgage about 3 weeks before we closed... thanks DMenscha, its going to be great... I am already looking to buy a piece of land soon, will build a retirement home on it later on...

What kind of loan did you wrangle for zero down payment?

Exactly. I'm curious too.

Apparently it is pretty "special".

Thanks... its great to be a homeowner... can't wait to mow the grass (or does the HOA do it?)... the mortgage I got is not open to the general public, its a loan made to VIP people... I guess I happen to fall into the VIP club...
