ooh Kandy we flew our dog out here, as checked baggage had to get a last minute from the airport at check in counter fax, special nod from the vet due to the colder than anticipated temperature. Sunny and warm in Lauderdale , to cold and snowing in KS!! Thankfully she did fine...the flight crew was so nice, they told me she was doing well at take off, and then at short ATL layover, they personally came and told me she was doing fine.
Wow you ARE nice, filling in the nail holes & touching up

Yeah CDCD, you would be very threatening especially if you say you ought to see the other guy...all smothered in sheets, covered in blankets, cowering at the footboard. hee hee OHOH -it was a BARometer fight!!!
Are you sure you didn't hurt your c-bone messing with a weather map remote??? lol there are some mean ones around.
RE the move....big question is, is the bed bigger??

Oh painter fresh corn... I think I would knock down a little ole lady to get hold of a FRESH vine ripe 'mater. Haven't seen one of those in a long time! My crop last year was disappointing...
Hey outta the way , it's mine!!!!

Tambre, are you seeing any sign of ripening crops?

Stoy I hope you are not lost on a trail!!! Or fighting off critters:O

Gold , do you grow any veggies up that way? At least a tomato plant? I guess the season might be short. Is your area known for any kind of produce?

I think it is finally cooling off to get in the yard. Darn grass!!

hi all...They ended up with oh 20 bushels or so before they were told to leave...dollar to a doughnut they are down the road selling it, lol... Thing is if they had asked for that much they would of been told okay, just the principle behind it. That field is for alot of the local families, not for a profit.

Kandy, How old are your kids? Just remember to "dab" with the brush and not stroke for the touch up...it is the inner painter in me, lol....

CDCD, So you're moving up now. What are you gonna do with all the extra room, lol? Are you to the point of considering another house or just content to have room service?

Suppose I will go finish my washing and barn chores here. Shower, dress and head to the casino...a seafood buffet and $5 in the slots, yep I am a big spender, lol...maybe I will win an extra $1

I want to go to the casino with you Painter! This girl loves to gamble. The last time I went was over a year ago in Lake Charles. It was a $FUN$ trip!
The kids are 7 & 5. Thanks for tip on dabbing for the touch ups. I was thinking of just dabbing it on with my finger. Will that work?
@Crazyma - I can't believe you were able to do a last minute check in with your dog. I don't think they do that anymore. When we flew our dog out here (same dog) four years ago, it was $50. Now it is $250 one way and they wanted all sorts of "samples" from him. I have never had this big of a hassle flying him and this will be his 4th flight. The vet said they have made it more difficult recently. Grrrr.
Back to patching holes for me.

Thank you Stoy! Where in Utah were you? I lived in SLC for ten years. The mountains are such a beautiful backdrop to the city.

Stoyyyyy! Welcome back, we missed you! Enjoy your company and being the hostess with the mostess.

Painter, that is disappointing that people would take advantage of such generosity and kindness, and go on a free-for-all picking frenzy. Cornhogs! Do you plant an acre of your land for the community garden?

Kandy, glad you got everything straightened out with your dog. Has anyone heard of an airline that just flies pets?

Crazyma, I went to see how Charlie was doing, and he has his cast off and was partially weight-bearing on his leg. It looked nice and straight, too. Didn't meet the owners, though. So far we've had some luck with our garden...broccoli, tomatoes and green beans (although the beans should have been picked earlier, as they were kind of tough). Has anyone tried growing a topsy turvy tomato?

Painter, the kids don't understand why we made our choice to move to the country. My son is the only one who wishes us well. My 2 daughters are still mad about it, and the oldest one keeps saying we abandoned her. Of course, they are welcome to come out, but just don't want to. So, your DD is going to be home to help you out, whoooeeee! What colors are you thinking of painting your rooms?

Hey all, LOL, Had such a storm blow in out of no where that we decided to stick close to the house. Guess I ll save my $5 for next time.

Kandy, I too like going to the casino and do pretty well "most" of the time. Also I know better than to take alot of money, lol, never ever take anything I can access if I go for broke. I would recommend getting a cheap brush and dabbing it with the tip of the brush. Your finger tips could leave a "poke a dot" effect on the walls. Paint colors change with time and it will be more noticable if you dont just dab it. To much paint will be applied in once spot instead of shaded out.

Stoy, Glad to see you made it home, sure are a busy gal these days.

Tambre, I was just kiddin' about painting the house again, but it is a thought, lol. As too the topsy turvy...know a couple of folks that tried it and said it was a waste of money, pain in the butt and the plants try to grow up instead of hanging down. I would go with 5 gal. buckets instead. Good to hear Charlie is out of the cast and walkin on it. You did good there!

Hey all you sound chipper today

Funny about the corn Carol and I hear you about the country life - sometimes wish we had a big old plot of land. Yeah put your DD to work!

Tambre and Stoy glad you have had fun with your travels and visiting with family.

Talking about the dog smells - I think the smaller ones put out less combustion!

Good luck with your move Kandy.

Sure - we do all kinds of produce here C'ma. Plenty of gardening. Summer season I guess. They started a farmers market one day a week in our neighborhood, which is nice. We are known for milk and cheese and of course beer.

Regarding that HOA stuff - kinda funny right after I mentioned it - but I think we just got some resolution. A neighbor of ours had further contacted our HOA who refers it back to the architectural committee (the builder) He told us the head guy was coming out to check on a few of our complaints and it's a long story - but seems a letter may have been sent and our misery may be over at least for the short term.

We think this family looks like they will be going into foreclosure eventually. Kids left unsupervised day and sometimes night. Mother stops by once in a while and drops off junk food. Father seems to have flown the coop. Time will tell.

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Poor crazyma....just blips here and there as she runs around stirring the fire late into the nite to keep all the campers out of harms way.........careful now dont get yourself burnt after all it is late into the summer and the campfires are only smoldering to keep the predators away. Maybe it is time to move in doors?

Hi there Gold, Maybe the problems will be temporarily resolved for you. Farmer's mkt in a HOA? Are you in an "estate" type property? Good golly if even a mention of a HOA came to my neighborhood ...

Stoy must be out socializing with the family.
Tambre are you out riding the range?
Kandy, Count down to leaving with just so much to do....please lets not forget your friends here in all the chaos!
