Beer Biscuits

2 cups unbleached flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup shortening
2/3 - 3/4 cup beer - the cheaper the beer, the better the biscuits!

Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in the shortening. Slowly, add the beer. Knead just a bit. Too much, will make them tough. Dust surface with flour and roll out. Cut biscuits out to desired shape.

Bake at 425 degrees for about 10 min.

I also make beer bread, beer hush puppies and add beer when I make a pot of beans.
