Has anyone ever tried this out? What does it taste like? I love the taste of wasabi, I'm still on the fence on whether it would go good in Mashed Potatoes? I'm feeling a bit experimental for this weekend and wanted to try this out. If anyone has any good recipes, let me know. I don't have much time to peel potatoes, so I may shortcut and used the instant mashed potatoes or get the premade mashed potatoes from the grocery store...

I've absolutely done it, with wasabi mayonnaise. I just make the potatoes as usual (and by "as usual," sadly I mean "from the box," as per directions) and squirt in A LOT of wasabi mayonnaise afterwards and mix it all up. It's pretty tasty -- certainly tastier than plain ol' mashed taters.

I've tried about everything there is to try with mashed potatoes. I'm convinced the best is the simplest. I only use Red Potatoes, then add a little milk, salt, pepper, and butter, lots of butter. I mash them a bit with a fork, then whip with a hand mixer. Finally, I garnish with more butter to create little buttery pools.

Peeling is neither difficult or time consuming. Oxo is the best peeler; it has a big, comfortable handle.
