I made the pizzetes with mixed success. I think maybe I let the dough rise too much or something? The dough poofed up in the oven, and the toppings sort of fell off the little pizza.
I am going to try them again, though.

Those antojitos look really tasty, too. This is a good thread with lots of inspirational recipes.

Blanched asparagus rolled into ham or salami that has been spread with a little cream cheese.

A bit late I know, but you said it was a monthly, Appetizers and Snacks Recipes - Recipes - All Recipes has a ton of different appetizers, as well as the super useful ratings and reviews which often have very creative suggestions. Just a note as a reccomended, a family friend made something which must be like these Asparagus Appetizers - Allrecipes just with the cheese switched out for for either a very thin layer of cream cheese or some other mild cheese, and it was amazing and super easy to make.

Default It's gone in a flash, so make plenty!

Place Boursin garlic & herb cheese on a platter. Top it with pesto & fresh diced tomatoes. Serve with thinly sliced french bread or crackers.

I have a super easy and elegant appetizer! Fresh figs with gorgonzola cheese. You take a fresh fig, remove the stem, and slice in half from top to bottom. Simply put blue cheese on the cut side of the fig and put it under the broiler for 30-60 seconds, until the cheese melts and is bubbly.

It is delicious with a nice glass of hearty chardonnay or a red wine as well. Every time i make this I get raves!! These figs are luscious!!

I think this is from Giada (on Food Network)....but my mom made it last Thanksgiving and it was simply delicious!!

Take a french baguette and slice it thinly on a bias. Lightly coat (or brush on) one side with EVOO and toast in the oven. After about 10 minutes....put some crumbled gorgonzola on each toast. Melt in the oven and take out and immediately put a bit of honey over the cheese.

Weird sounding combo but heavenly!

Quick winner for an appetizer- Pecan Stuffed dates wrapped in bacon.

Pre heat oven to 300`

1 large cookie sheet

1 bag whole pecans

Have about 50 pitted dates slightly split, check for wasp eggs. Toss those that have them

1 -1/2 lbs butcher bacon, cut into 1-1/2in strips,

60 toothpicks (they can break)

Take a date slightly split it length wise , and stuff with a pecan, wrap it in a bacon strip and secure with a toothpick, repeat till all are done. This actually goes very fast once you get into the mode.

Bake in oven about 15 minutes untill bacon is slightly crispy, remove from oven and cool. If you cook too long you burn the date.

I serve average 2 -3pcs per person and never have leftovers. This is the smaller recipe on average I make about 100-150 pcs for a cocktail party or party.
