I went to a party... and there was this Onion Dip.... it had bacon in it. The dip was LOADED with cooked onions and bits of bacon. I know there was vinegar in there and it almost reminded me of German Potato Salad without the potatoes.... Does ANYONE know what I am talking about It was so good and I would love to make it for Super Bowl this Sunday for my dad.... but I have NO idea what to call it...LOL... OR the recipe....haha Can I make this any easier? LOL Anyone able to help me out?
I'm sure it's not the same as what you had but I posted the recipe thread "triple cheese bacon spread" & it features cooked onions & bacon, cream cheese is the base. I have been a bit under the weather so I haven't gotten to it yet but I will be posting step by step photo instructions.
No it was real onion and read bacon.... loads of sliced onion and loads of sliced bacon....
not onion onion and not bacon bacon LOL.... though they are BOTH REALLY GOOD.....and I do have both in my cabinet....
I can't eat this dip personally- as I can't eat bacon. But I did try it, a bite... and OH it was so good. I wish I could have eaten more. Taken a spoon to it in fact.
Okay, I finally just added the step by step photo instructions for this recipe. You can access it here: www.OneModernGirl.Blogspot.com (http://www.OneModernGirl.Blogspot.com - broken link)
I JUST checked it out.... I think I am going to make this recipe (minus the blue cheese) and see how it compares.... Thanks for the suggestion....
Thanks! LOL everyone that swore they hated bleu cheese still loved the dip! But it should be okay without it!
