I bought a package of the Perdue frozen chicken wings (wingettes) Does anyone have a wing sauce recipe?? It cannot be too spicy because hubby cannot have it. I saw some bottled sauces but they are too salty and have ingredients in them my husband cannot have. I would be cooking the wings in oven and then want a sauce to put on them, then back into the oven. Maybe a sweet and sour sauce??? A little kick is ok but not 3 alarm spicy LOL.

Here's a sweet and sour ... depending on how many wings, you may want to double or triple it

1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
2 tbsp white sugar
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp corn starch mixed with 4 tsp water
Put everything in a pan and bring to a boil, slow boil for about 2 min or until you have the consistency you want.

Hubby decided he wanted them deep fried without sauce on them. So I will make a dipping sauce on the side.

The wings came out great, I seasoned the flour with paprika, chili powder, garlic and onion powder, deep fried them. Next time I will try the honey and soy sauce.

Butter, Frank's hot sauce and/or homemade barbecue sauce (that way you can control the ingredients), and a dash of white wine vinegar.

You didn't specify what it was he couldn't have in Buffalo sauce. You can also use a plain pepper sauce and add butter, favorite seasonings to dial down the heat. Fry wings, toss in sauce and serve.
