I definitely would, but I'm not scheduled to do any cooking for groups in the near future. If I was making a big batch of egg and potato salad for the holiday, that's how I'd go.
If I'm doing eggs for myself or a couple of people, I'm definitely reaching for a saucepan. Why heat up an oven for that little? But I'm thinking a dozen eggs or more, this would make sense.
Well, you could bake something else and throw the eggs in on the side, you know.
When I hardboil eggs, I put them in the pan of cold water, when water reaches boiling, boil for one minute, cover pan and turn off the flame. Let the eggs sit in the pan for 12 minutes and then cool quickly. Perfect every time.
