I always try a recipe exactly as written before I go messing with it.
It wasn't meant to be offensive. Better to try a recipe sub'n an ingredient than never to try it cause you know you and your family don't like an ingredient. It doesn't offend me if someone try's to make it their own or make it how they like it than someone to try it and say its bad cause they don't like an ingredient. That makes no sense to me.

Are you the food Police? LOL Just kidding.

Some people dont like the taste of certain things and may have had combinations similar that they dont like. SO... a substitution of shredded crab or salmon for tuna in this example is fine.

BTW Lubby I made it with Salmon, chives and water chestnuts instead of tuna, onions and walnuts. It was very good.

I am going to try it with cooked crab in place of the salmon and add some chopped parsley and a little lemon juice to it as well next time.

Yum.

Yes, I am, and you're all under arrest.

My point is, if you come across a recipe for a Tuna Cheeseball, and you don't like tuna, and you don't like cream cheese, then just go on by, instead of changing all the ingredients, so now it's something totally different.
