Gluten free/wheat free recipes
Are there any gluten free and wheat free recipes easily available? Does anyone bake their own gluten free bread, either the traditional method or bread machine?
We're new to this, so don't really know where to start...
All tips and pointers will be very much appreciated.

This may be a silly question but why gluten free? Is it for diabetics?

Gluten-Free Girl by Shauna James Ahern
Here is another good blog that also has some good recipes.
I have to eat gluten free due to celiac disease. I am not officially diagnosed, but all of my stomach pain, mouth ulcers and other issues doctors were stumped by for years went away when I went glutne free. 1% of the population has celiac, but very few have been diagnosed.

I don't have celiac. That's been ruled out, as everything else they could think of. They don't know what else to look for, so I thought I'd try gluten free in case it's IBS. Lots of stuff gets thrown into the IBS bucket because it's a handy catch-all, when they don't know what it is. It looks like I'll have to do my own investigative work by cutting out certain things to see if it makes a difference.
Thanks for the links so far. Appreciate it!

Thanks & hope all the links help you out with your problem. With all the info out there, it looks like you have a lot of company with those health issues unfortunately. Good luck!

Update report on first try making gluten free bread in a bread machine...
I got got gluten free bread mix, and we decided to try it in the bread machine (it wasn't a bread machine mix)...and it turned out really good.
I'm being more disciplined about what I eat and I think it's making a difference! Third day without medication and I still feel good!! So far, the only thing I've cut out is the gluten.
This is a trial-by-elimination project. Doctors don't have any suggestions, since all the tests have come back negative and they're at a loss as to where to go from here.
Thought I'd do my own thing with diet and see if it makes a difference. I appreciate all the posters on this topic here and elsewhere (health), who have helped to educate me
as this is all new to me. I'm off to get more bread mix!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! (I'll be skipping the stuffing, but I will be stuffed, fer sure!)
