I have a ton of basil in my yard. I decided to add some to banana bread. I put it in the eggs to kill the "eggy" taste instead of using nutmeg and other spices. I just added three leaves chopped into strips. It is a little unusual, but very nice.

It sounds pretty unusual alright, but I bet it would be refreshing. Basil has such a fresh flavor.
