This has been one of my go-to comfort crock pot meals for years. It's amazingly tasty, pretty healthful and freezes well, too. I have shared this recipe with friends and brought it to parties and it's always a hit.

Crock-Pot Chicken With Black Beans And Cream Cheese...yum! Recipe - Food.com - 89204

I double the black beans (two cans instead of one) and use 4-5 chicken thighs instead of 4-5 chicken breasts, so mine is more beany and less meaty. Plus I will add a diced habanero pepper because I like heat.
And fresh cilantro on top when served is great, if you like cilantro.

Any other favourite crock pot/slow cooker recipes, please share! Now that winter is bearing down I'm breaking out the crock pot again.

sounds really yummy. I think I would start with 1 whole chicken, only because I love the mixture of the light and dark meat.
