And thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I use the recipe in my 1980's era Betty Crocker cookbook, but I think it's the same as on the pumpkin can. I will definitely add nutmeg though next time i make one, that sounds like a great idea. And...have I been buying evaporated milk for nothing all these years?
Plain milk works too?
