Ok, so a few days ago, I used some boneless, skinless chicken breasts to make barbecued chicken in the crock pot. I used the recipe I found involving Sweet Baby Ray's sauce and a jar of peach perserves. It came out yummy, and the housemate and I have been putting it on everything. Salads, flatbreads, tortillas, etc.

I'm thinking I'd like to do something similar again very soon because of the versatility of the dish, but not as sweet. I'm trying to think of other sauces this would be good with. So far, I'm thinking a combination of crushed tomatoes and wine, with maybe some rosemary, oregano and basil.

Any other good combinations you guys can think of?

Collected from the internet over the years.
Can be made fresh or dump the meat/poultry into the freezer baggie, pour in the seasoning then the liquid.
Seal, squish around, and freeze.
To cook, run bag under water to loosen, dump into the crockpot.
Or defrost in the refrigerator if you have time, then cook.
Cooking time depends on whether you're using chicken or beef or pork or whatever.
These are for about 1.5 pounds (or so). Some are good with pork and beef, also. Experiment!

LOL - I was going to reply, but what I have to offer pales in comparison to Gandalara's suggestions.

Ah, come on, Dirt Grinder

Forgot the old stand-by ...
1 can of condensed mushroom soup and 1 packet of dry onion soup (or a can of condensed french onion soup)
Pour it over frozen beef/pork/poultry/venison, stir half way though.
Makes good gravy for potatoes.

Then there's the weird one - found it on the internet and took me forever to try because it just sounded so ... strange!
frozen chicken or pork (haven't tried it with beef yet)
bag of frozen cranberries or can of cranberries jellied or whole
packet of dry onion soup or can or condensed french onion soup
Give it a stir halfway through.
I can't describe the taste - sweet? sour ? tart? oniony? All of it, LOL

(Please no lectures on frozen meat, I've been doing it for 40 years. YMMV It also adds liquid to the above. )

LOL, that's like the grape jelly and ketchup meatballs my auntie made one time in the slow cooker. We'd heard about the recipe for years and then she just decided to go for it one Christmas. And as we'd heard, they were quite (weirdly) tasty. Go figure.

Or cocktail sausages in that grape jelly concoction - strangely good.

I do a similar concoction but use marmalade instead of the peach preserves, also works well with pork loin instead of chicken breast..
