We have a place where we can get dry aged beef. We are thinking of pre-ordering the beef and having that for dinner alongside baked potatoes and spinach gratin. Steakhouse dinner at home.

I prefer Cornish game hens and I had a barbecue one year with ribs and steaks.

I'm still debating on if I will cook this year or not. Daughter will be with her husbands side and son won't be able to travel to visit this year, so just 3 of us. Doesn't seem worth doing all that cooking for just 3, although I will still probably cook a turkey just to have turkey sandwiches

I rarely make turkeys as I am not a fan of the taste. So we tend to make a whole roasted pork shoulder with a bunch of side dishes. Not sure what I am doing this year.
Anything from a standing rib roast to a killer lasagna....we've also done turkey and a turduken and regular filet on the grill with shrimp.

Since it is only my adult son and I now and his teen daughter if it's his weekend, I now go with a roasting chicken and all the sides,no waste.

No one in my family (except for my Mom) likes turkey- too dry for us! So we go with a honey glazed ham with all the 'fixins' such as stuffing, mash & gravy, macaroni & cheese, yeast rolls & butter, collard greens and of course pumpkin pie w/ whipped cream.
