This recipe has oatmeal also.

Dawn, thanks for reminding me about the anchovy one. Next time.

1.5 lbs ground beef
1 to 1.5 lbs ground pork
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 c instant minced onion
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
3 Tbsps ketchup
1 c unsweetened applesauce
1/2 to 1 c peeled, cored, chopped baking apples
1 egg, beaten (I often skip this ingredient without it causing a problem)

1-2 Tbsps brown sugar
1-2 tsps. soy sauce

Combine very well except for the brown sugar and soy sauce, pressed into a greased loaf pan -- probably 2 greased loaf pans -- and blend the brown sugar and soy sauce before spreading it over the top. Bake 1.5 hours at 350 degrees.

I recently started making my meatloaf using stove top stuffing.

1 box stove top stuffing mix
2 pound ground 80/20 beef
1/4 ketchup
1/4 BBQ sauce
2 beaten eggs.

Mix all ingredients together and free form into a loaf. Bake on 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Ok, here's a new one. I just stumbled onto a copycat Boston Market meatloaf recipe after one poster said BM was the only meatloaf they liked.
What's weird about it is that it has no bread and no eggs. Could this be right?

It does have 6T of flour, which I guess takes the place of crumbs, or whatever.

Sure it is possible depending upon what the rest of the ingredient are. There are other ingredients that can be used as binders other than eggs and bread. The flour is a good binder. And if you think about it you don't have to use any binder when you are making burgers so I am sure the flour and the BBQ sauce and sugar, etc help bind the meatloaf together. (I just googled and found the recipe that I think you are referring to)

Default Making meatloaf---blooded meat ?

About a month ago I bought meatloaf trio from Publix, too much meat so I halved it and froze it. I defrosted it yesterday and it looks real bloody ----- is this normal ??

It's not blood, it's water - I know, looks like blood though right? It's fine. It's just the residual moisture from having frozen it.

It probably also has some sort of tomato sauce or ketchup in it if it's meatloaf.

It's just a "meat mix"....and it is just water, colored from the blood....take a paper towel, and absorb some, if you want. It's fine.
