We always have a cobbler, cake, or pie in the house. This is one of my favorite recipes. My grandmother used to call it the "one cup dump it." The peach cobbler is good with commercial canned peaches and using 1/2 c. brown sugar and 1/2 c. white sugar and finished with whipped cream. YUM!

Glad you liked it, but then, I knew you would. It's so easy to make and most everyone has the ingredients on hand for it.

What SIZE 'cake pan' did you all use? I used a regular cake pan and when I added the fruit, it overflowed so I dumped it in a casserol.

I used a regular old square cake pan.

The fruit is supposed to sit in the middle - not spread to the edges. The only effort you put forth is in the batter - lightly stir to moisten the flour and sugar - not a good beating, put it on top of the melted butter and then dump the fruit filling in the middle.

How much extra fruit did you put on? Perhaps you should follow the recipe as it is given for best results - then make adjustments after you know how well it works.

Probably just added too much fruit. I will try again for sure. I have never been good at following directions.
