What if a person just doesn't happen to have a can of that non-stick spray. Must be another way to make things non stick in oven.

Rub the pan or dish with shortening or a stick of butter.

Brush the pan with olive oil, all you need is 1 Tbsp. and brush the pan to coat it evenly.

I use a paper towel and smear a thin coating of shortening, butter, or oil on the pan. Coat evenly.

Look at how many ingredients are in that 'spray lube' you are using and you may want to give it up forever.

Use real, grass fed butter.

I put olive oil in a device called a MISTO, where you pump it up and spray with pure olive oil, or whatever you pour into it. Bed Bath and Beyond sells this item, usually $12-$15.

Uh, oil or butter?

If you are baking, you can also use a parchment paper barrier in some cases.

Ugh. I've never even read the ingredients; I just know I can't stand the smell of it. Makes me sick. I stopped using it a long time ago.

Try a mixture of this:
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup of shortening

Mix together and store in a mason jar. Can store at room temperature for several months. Any amount can be made but keep ratios equal. Brush skillet/cake pans/baking sheets/ etc for no stick cooking! Hope you enjoy.
