New England seafood chowder (fish, sauce, scallops, fresh)

As i'm getting several rep points for my Seafood chowder for supper post i thought i'd share the recipe.
its loosely based on a Martha Stuart creation =

I use bacon and also add scallops and a couple of cups of wine ,tbsp of fish sauce. all goes well with a fresh baguette and a glass of whatever wine is left over.

What do you do for the fish stock or is the wine your substitue? Thanks.
