[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for delicious Fruitcake?
I hear it's expensive to make but I think it'd be worth it.
Thank you & Merry Christmas!

We just had a thread for Lodestar's fruitcake recipe:

Bishop's Bread

It looks like stained glass windows when sliced. I'm baking this loaf as soon as I'm finished with my last finals.

I used to make fruitcake but lost the recipe in a move. You really want to do it in mid-November.

Find an old-fashioned recipe. Eliminate the candied citrus peel & substitute any of the other candied fruits. Don't use the mix. It's loaded with the candied citrus peel. Use the individual candied fruits. Soak it with a smooth rum.
