I've done a search here and can't find any recipes - I decided I feel like shrimp and snow peas for dinner (probably over rice) - any ideas on a quick sauce or whatever?

I was thinking: some butter, some sesame oil - just do in a hot skillet and pour over rice - I also have white cooking wine here (w/and w/o herbs) - which sounds good to me.

My brain is tired, LOL - and I still have to thaw and peel the shrimps.

Appreciate any tips!!

I like a little heat with shrimp so would probably add some red pepper flake and garlic. For my taste I'd probably go with butter and white wine instead of the sesame oil. I'd be careful with cooking wine, some is very salty. I usually drink reds but often keep a bottle of dry vermouth in the fridge, good for cooking and doesn't seem to go bad.

Thanks! I like a little heat as well (and I do love ginger and garlic) - I think I might go that route - appreciate it!

Yeah! Ginger sounds like a plan! A little diced red-bell pepper might be nice too as well as colorful.

So here was my result: the shrimp had a little freezer burn but I went w/it. I melted butter and put in the garlic, then added the snow peas, then the shrimp and added red pepper flakes. When things were almost done I tossed in minced spicy oregano (I grow herbs), added a splash of a Mistake: my white wine vinegar instead of the wine - so I added some soy sauce - a little more red pepper flakes. Turned out very tasty!

Thanks for all the tips!

sounds like the peas and shrimp over rice would be a winner but I would as mentioned add some spice I would use Asian hot sauce not pepper flakes.
